Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the relationship between SC Victoria (“we”, “us”, “our”) and any person (“you”, “Guest”) submitting a booking request or staying at the apartment located at Place Saint-Ferdinand, Paris 17th, France, via the website my-pied-a-terre.fr.

By submitting a booking request on my-pied-a-terre.fr, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. The Apartment

The apartment is located at Place Saint-Ferdinand, Paris 17th, France (exact address communicated after confirmation). It accommodates a maximum of 4 guests for a minimum stay of 3 nights.

The apartment is the personal property of the owner and is offered for short-term rental to trusted guests only. SC Victoria reserves the right to decline any booking request, at its sole discretion, without being required to provide a reason.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Submitting a request

Submitting a booking request on my-pied-a-terre.fr does not constitute a confirmed booking. A stay is only confirmed upon receipt of written acceptance from SC Victoria (email sent to the address provided in the form).

3.2 Availability check

Dates are checked in real time at the moment of submission. SC Victoria cannot guarantee availability for specific dates prior to issuing a confirmation.

3.3 Guest eligibility

SC Victoria operates on a trust-based model. We welcome guests who have previously stayed with us, guests referred by a trusted member of our community, or guests whose profile aligns with our values. We reserve the right to decline any request without justification.

3.4 Identity verification

After confirmation, Guests are required to provide the type and number of an identity document (passport, national ID card, or driving licence), and to declare that this document is authentic, valid, and issued in their name. This information is collected for insurance purposes only and is deleted immediately after the stay.

4. Payment

4.1 Payment schedule

  • Deposit (30% of the total): due within 7 days of booking confirmation
  • Balance (70% of the total): due on the day of departure

4.2 Payment methods

Payment can be made by:

  • Bank transfer (details communicated privately after confirmation)
  • PayPal (for Guests based in the United States)
  • Cash (in Euros, on the day of departure)

Banking and PayPal details are never published on the website. They are communicated by the owner after booking confirmation.

4.3 Late payment

Failure to pay the deposit within 7 days of confirmation may result in the cancellation of the booking, at SC Victoria’s discretion. Failure to pay the balance at departure may result in the deposit being withheld and legal action being taken.

5. Cancellation Policy

5.1 Cancellation by the Guest

  • Cancellation more than 30 days before arrival: full refund of the deposit.
  • Cancellation between 15 and 30 days before arrival: 50% refund of the deposit.
  • Cancellation less than 15 days before arrival: deposit non-refundable.
  • No-show (absence without notice): deposit non-refundable and full balance due.

Any cancellation request must be submitted in writing via the contact form at my-pied-a-terre.fr/contact or by email to the address provided at confirmation.

5.2 Cancellation by SC Victoria

In the unlikely event that SC Victoria must cancel a confirmed booking, the Guest will be informed as soon as possible and will receive a full refund of all sums paid. No further compensation will be due.

6. House Rules

By confirming a booking, Guests agree to comply with the following rules:

  • Maximum capacity: 4 guests. No additional visitors without prior written consent.
  • No smoking inside the apartment or building.
  • No parties, events, or gatherings beyond the number of booked guests.
  • Noise must be kept to a minimum after 10:00 PM, out of respect for neighbours.
  • Shoes must be removed at the entrance.
  • Heating must not exceed the settings recommended in the Welcome Guide.
  • The key safe code must be entered and cleared after each use, and must not be shared with third parties.
  • The apartment must be left clean and tidy upon departure.
  • Check-in from 5:00 PM. Check-out before 10:30 AM. Any other schedule requires prior written agreement.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in immediate termination of the stay without refund.

7. Liability

SC Victoria’s liability is limited to the total amount paid by the Guest. SC Victoria shall not be held liable for:

  • Loss, theft, or damage to the Guest’s personal belongings
  • Disturbances caused by third parties (neighbours, construction works, etc.)
  • Force majeure events (strikes, natural disasters, pandemics, etc.)

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the apartment or its contents during their stay.

We strongly recommend that Guests hold valid travel insurance covering personal liability and cancellation for the duration of their stay.

8. Check-in and Check-out

Check-in is from 17:00. Check-out is by 10:30. These times are informational and not contractually binding. Any alternative must be agreed in writing in advance.

9. Guest Portal

Upon booking confirmation, Guests receive a secure Guest Portal link by email. The portal contains stay details, documents, access instructions, and a departure checklist. The link is personal, valid for 30 days, and must not be shared with third parties.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will first attempt to resolve the matter amicably. Failing that, the dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Paris, France.

Guests who are consumers resident in the European Union may also refer their complaint to an approved mediation service in accordance with EU Directive 2013/11/EU.

11. Changes to these Terms

SC Victoria reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. The updated version will be published on my-pied-a-terre.fr. Bookings confirmed before any amendment remain governed by the Terms in force at the time of confirmation.
